  Common Items That Causes Choke Sink or Toilet

There are items which we come across commonly that are the cause of chokes in sink or toilet. Often unknowingly, we are pouring this items down the pipe causing it to build up a choke over time. If you are lucky, it is choked at a place near the entry point. Below are some of the common item we have found during our course of work.

Sinks

• Fat and oils should not be poured down the drain or they will solidify over time and create chokes. Ensure that the drains have a strainer to prevent debris, soap, hair and other item from accumulating in the drain line.
  

Toilets

Items you should never flush down the toilet includes: diapers, hair, cotton balls, cotton swabs, tissue paper or other similar items. Such items does not dissolve easily and are the reason for most choke.
